US college students visit Yunnan province

At the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, a delegation of 17 young students from the US-based Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) visited central Yunnan’s Kunming city from March 20 to 22.

The U.S. delegation visits Yunnan People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

The delegation first had talks and exchanges at Yunnan Provincial Department of Commerce, Yunnan University, Yunnan Provincial Energy Investment Group, and Yunnan Construction and Investment Holding Group.

They also visited the Kunming Flying Tigers Museum, a fishing village in rural Kunming and the China United International Rail Containers’ Kunming Terminal, while watching the Dynamic Yunnan cultural show.

The American students said the visit allowed them to have a fuller understanding to Yunnan's green development, ecological conservation, traditional culture, rural revitalization and others. Recalling the China-US friendly exchanges over the past decades, they hoped to contribute to China-US friendship in the future.
