The UNESCO World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat saw a tourists boom during the Khmer new year. The Cambodian new year is celebrated in mid-April, typically falling between April 13 to 15.

Undeterred by sweltering temperatures soaring up to 40 degrees centigrade, travelers from different countries flocked to the famous temple site, immersing themselves in the joyful atmosphere of the traditional festival, as well as the grandeur of the historical Angkor ruins.
