Wenshan flowers begin hitting overseas market

8.5 tons of fresh-cut chrysanthemum grown in Maguan county, southeast Yunnan’s Wenshan Zhuang and Miao autonomous prefecture, were recently exported to Japan after customs inspection. This marks Wenshan’s first overseas export of fresh cut flowers.

Located near the Tropic of Cancer, Maguan boasts abundant sunshine and plentiful rainfall, providing an ideal environment for growing flowers. Today, the county has developed a flower industry specializing in chrysanthemums.

Customs officers in Maguan have provided "appointment-based inspection" services for better efficiency. This enabled companies to declare goods independently, allowing the fresh-cut flowers to quickly enter overseas markets.
