Yunnan makes a hit at 2025 CITM in Hainan

Yunnan province has showcased its specialties and expanded cooperation with overseas partners at the 2025 China International Travel Mart (CITM), which was held in Haikou city, south China’s Hainan province, from December 19 to 21.

The CITM coincided with the official launch island-wide special customs operations of the Hainan Free Trade Port, and the tourism departments and tourist companies from 12 Yunnan prefectures and cities participated in the event.

The Yunnan exhibition area covered 600 square meters, with the theme of "sojourning in Yunnan for a many-splendored life." The area showcased Yunnan’s cultural tourist brands, provincial tourist destinations, cultural tourist businesses, intangible cultural heritages, and others.

Yunnan also staged promotional events and cultural performances during the CITM, showcasing the provincial achievements and high-quality development in cultural tourism.

Since 2001, the CITM has been alternately held in Shanghai and Kunming, and the 2025 CITM marks the first edition in Hainan.

The 2025 CITM spanned 65,000 square meters and featured five zones: the Domestic Exhibition Zone, the Overseas Exhibition Zone, the Sunshine Hainan Zone, the Inbound Tourism Consumption Zone, and the Culture-Tourism Integration Zone.

Over 1,000 travel business representatives from 101 countries and regions attended the event, during which multiple negotiations were held for professional buyers and sellers in international tourism.
