Kunming Botanical Garden ushers in maple admiring season

Tourists admire the colorful leaves of maple trees at Kunming Botanical Garden.

Kunming Botanical Garden, a popular maple appreciation spot in central Yunnan’s Kunming city, has ushered in its best sight-seeing period in mid-November.

The 788 maple trees are presenting their colorful leaves in red, yellow and green. On sunny days, the avenue is bathed in the warm sunshine, and it resembles an oil painting, attracting crowds of residents and tourists.

In gentle breeze, the leaves fell onto the avenue and formed a soft “carpet”.

During the 2025 maple-viewing season, the garden will roll out activities on popular science, allowing visitors to learn about plants while enjoying the beauty of nature.
